"Brooklyn" & "Bailey"

Meet adorable brothers "Brooklyn" & "Bailey"! Brooklyn is 8 years old while big brother Bailey is 10. In addition to burns, Brooklyn is diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and developmental delays. Bailey is healthy. These brothers are living in Eastern Europe.

These sweet bros are closely bonded and wish to be adopted together. Bailey loves to look after his younger brother, reading books to him and playing.

"Brooklyn"

Brooklyn is a sweet boy who loves arts and crafts, and playing with his peers. He is described as a lovely and smiley boy! Brooklyn enjoys creative activities, and making things with his hands. He has an active imagination!

Brooklyn understands adoption and strongly wants to be adopted. He has speech delays, and typically will only reply in short sentences and phrases. He does not always understand what is said to him when it is a complex or longer sentence or command. Brooklyn's condition of muscular dystrophy primarily impacts his legs, and he struggles with squatting and standing up from a squat or laying down position. He walks with a wobbly gait, and climbing stairs is becoming increasingly difficult as his condition progresses. Brooklyn however has average fine motor skills, and good short term memory and attention. He can independently get around and navigate his environment. Brooklyn does not have any anxiety or aggression. Brooklyn can count and sort by shape and color.

Brooklyn is also diagnosed with burns

Though it is unclear how Brooklyn was burned, the damage was extensive. In 2020, Brooklyn received burns over a large portion of his body, and had right sided bronchopneumonia.  He went through extensive and intense cleaning of his wounds, surgery, sterile dressings, and treatment of thermal shock. An agency can give more info about Brooklyn's burns and how they impact him.

As of February 2025, Brooklyn is currently in Kindergarten. He receives support from a special education teacher, and is also receiving speech therapy, as well as seeing a psychologist. He does not have physical therapy at this time. He has made some academic progress!
