"Blaze"
Introducing "Blaze"! Blaze is 9 years old and living in Eastern Europe. He is diagnosed with a developmental delay.
Blaze is a sweet boy who enjoys going to school, and being around familiar people. He likes playing with cars, cubes, and watching other children.
Blaze has lived with a foster family since he was 3 months old. As of September 2023, Blaze was in 1st grade and receives special education services. He has an expressive language delay, but he can speak in short, simple phrases, uses gestures, and understands what is said to him. Blaze cannot read or write. He takes time to establish relationships with peers, but he is attached to his foster family whom he spends most of his time with. Blaze can independently eat, drink, and get dressed. He is also potty trained. Blaze is a picky eater, but his favorites are solid foods and dairy. He sleeps well. Blaze has a low frustration tolerance and gets upset when he isn't allowed to have something.
Blaze is currently taking medication for his delays. He also sees a speech therapist regularly, and has made progress.
A family interested in adopting Blaze should be patient, and willing to devote the time and attention he needs to thrive. He should also continue to receive services for his delays.
Blaze is such a cutie that has been in care for his entire life. Though he is well taken care of, it could never replace the need for the love and consistency of a forever family.
