"Jimmy"

Meet sweet "Jimmy"! Jimmy is 7 years old and living in Africa. He is diagnosed with fetal alcohol syndrome.

Jimmy has the CUTEST bright, beaming smile, and big brown eyes. He is described as having a contagious smile and outgoing personality. Jimmy enjoys playing with other children, going on outings, and helping with basic chores at his residential facility. His favorite spots to visit are other residential facilities, the park, and the mall. Jimmy's favorite toy is a sports ball, but he also enjoys playing with stickers, drawing, and Legos. 

Jimmy has a close attachment with a caregiver who has cared for him since he first came into care in 2018. He attends school daily, and has made good progress with his language expansion, listening skills, and sentence construction. Jimmy still struggles with clear speech and articulation. His teacher reports that "Jimmy will start a conversation and can understand when asked questions, which he was unable to do before." He has gained so much confidence in many different areas. 

Jimmy would do best in a family that has access to occupational, physical, and speech therapies. They should have stable medical insurance, and be prepared for long-term care and potential unknowns.
