"Philip"

Could sweet "Philip" quite possibly be the happiest little guy in the world? This sweet smiley boy is 7 years old and living in Asia. He is diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Philip is described as a friendly, resilient, determined, and strong-willed boy with a broad smile. He loves when people talk to him sweetly, and getting compliments! Philip enjoys watching cartoons, Animal World, and musical shows. His favorite foods are soft pastries and pies. Philip also likes to play with toys that make or play music.

Philip is currently learning how to sit up from a lying position without support. He can hold and throw small toys. Philip communicates through gestures, facial expressions, and pointing. He has a healthy apprehension towards strangers, but likes to engage with familiar adults and children.

Philip has involved medical needs and would do best in a family that is prepared to provide him with quality therapies and medical care.

UPDATE APRIL 2025
Perfect little "Philip" now has an updated photo and bio! He still has that same big, bright smile he's always had, but year after year, he remains in the same room, growing up in an orphanage. He looks more mature, the sweet baby face gone as he grows older. I can't believe this perfect little boy is still waiting. Please take a chance on Philip. He so desperately needs a family who will love him unconditionally, just as he deserves to be. His updated bio reads: Meet Philip! Philip is described as a friendly and cheerful boy. There is always a smile present on his face, and this truly makes every interaction with him so joyful and pleasant. For mealtimes, he often eats porridge and many types of noodle soups. Philip likes to be cuddled, loves his caregivers and playing with his roommates that are the same age as him. He enjoys the outdoors and sometimes must use a wheelchair to get around. Despite not being able to play like some of his friends do, he remains cheerful and enjoys the interactions he does have. His smile makes others feel good and encouraged when they spend time with him. Philip is currently receiving daily physical therapy Monday-Friday. He can crawl, sit without support and is learning to stand with assistance. His motor ability is improving with therapy. He practices each of his physical therapy exercises with a strong will, patience, resilience and a smile. His greatest progress so far is standing while holding onto the crib bar for a few minutes. He is described as a good sleeper and a good eater too! He does not typically nap but lays quietly in his bed so others can enjoy their naps, and then sleeps through the night well! He enjoys new experiences and jokes with everyone easily. He used to cry when he could not have what he wanted, but now he nods his head to show he understands and then starts doing something else as an alternative. This has shown that he has matured and grown. He is an adorable and resilient boy. He has involved medical needs and would need to join a family that is prepared to provide access to comprehensive medical care and therapeutic resources. Additionally, his family must understand and utilize connected parenting strategies, provide individualized attention, and create a structured and safe home environment within which Philip can live up to his full potential.
