"Taylor"
Introducing miss "Taylor"! Taylor is 7 years old and living in Asia. She is diagnosed with a developmental delay, ADHD, and beta thalassemia trait.
This sweet girl has lived a life of heartbreak and instability. She's bounced around from orphanage to different foster families, and now she needs a FOREVER family of her own to love and nurture her and treat her like the amazing daughter she is!
While pregnant, Taylor's biological mother smoked and used drugs. She was placed in governmental care at birth.
Taylor lived with a foster family for over a year at the age of 4, and was intended to be adopted by them, but sadly the family chose not to finalize the adoption. She was then placed with a temporary foster family for 7 months, and is now living with a more permanent foster family while she waits.
Taylor is described as a happy and outgoing child! She is "talkative, happy, and polite". She is a sweet girl who loves attention and affection.
Taylor is willing to play alone, but she'd much rather play with others. Her gross and fine motor skills are appropriate for her age. Taylor can speak in full sentences and follows directions. She does struggle at times with focusing on certain activities, needing redirection. She will sometimes push boundaries to see what she can get away with, and throw temper tantrums if she does not get what she wants. She asks permission to do the smallest things, worries she's in trouble, and strives to be seen as "good".
As of September 2021 Taylor was being seen by a psychologist.
Taylor has $1,270 in her personal grant with Reece's Rainbow towards her adoption!
The difficult impact of trauma have begun to show, and Taylor is still so young. It breaks my heart that she has had so much uncertainty in her short life. I pray that she finds a family that will love her as she is and continue to provide support where needed.
