As of June 2024, Fleet's condition has begun to decline, but life is unpredictable and he needs quality medical care ASAP to ensure the best quality of life, however long it may be.**

"Fleet"

Introducing adorable "Fleet"! Fleet is 7 years old and living in Eastern Europe. He is diagnosed with microcephaly, epilepsy, and pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency.

Fleet is an adorable boy living in a large orphanage notorious for neglect. He desperately needs out and with a family who will show him the love and care he so deserves and needs!

Because of his pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency, Fleet is on a strict keto diet that is rich in fat and excludes carbohydrates. He is fed with a special milk - Ketocal.

Fleet's seizures have decreased since starting Trileptal. It is recommended that he be followed by a endocrinologist, nutritionist, and neurologist.

Fleet has a $2,500 grant with Agape where he is listed as "Asher"! He also has $45.00 in his personal grant with Reece's Rainbow where he is listed as "Jean-Luc"!

Could this handsome boy be your son? "Fleet" needs a mama that will give him all the snuggles and love. He needs access to quality medical care and therapies. He needs YOU! Could this sweet boy be the missing piece of your family?

UPDATE MARCH 2025
Fleet is now listed as "Asher" with Wasatch Adoptions! His update reads: Please meet adorable Fleet.  He was born in 2018 and is said to be a smiling and calm child.  Fleet has several diagnoses including congenital genetic metabolic disease which means he must remain on a strict Keto diet and drink special milk.  When medical personnel conducted an electroencephalography, epileptic activity was registered, which is why constant anticonvulsant therapy with Trileptal is being carried out. No epi-seizures have been observed after its initiation.  Fleet stands up on his own with a stationary support and steps side to side, holding on to the stationary support. He moves by crawling. He can sit alone without support. He spends his waking hours with the other children in the group and he likes it very much.  He does not isolate himself from other children.  He maintains full eye contact.

Fleet sits independently, crawls, and pulls to a stand with stable support. He cruises around the rails of his crib. Being a wobbly walker when being held by the hands or using a baby walker, Fleet wears orthoses to assist his gross motor progress. His fine motor skills are very limited, and he requires assistance with all tasks of daily living, including toileting and spoon feeding. He eats a strict ketogenic diet. Fleet is described as a calm and radiant boy who babbles actively but does not show many responses when someone speaks to him. He is comfortable in his familiar environments although his voluntary interactions with people and objects are few. Fleet enjoys bathing, spending time outdoors, and being teased by adults. He accepts the presence of other children but does not join play. Although he has not formed a preferential relationship with any of his caretakers, he is the favorite for some of them. A physical therapist, psychologist, pedagogue, occupational therapist, and speech therapist work with Fleet. He tires quickly and is easily distracted during targeted interventions. A family interested in adopting Fleet must be prepared for his life-long high support needs, including regular medical follow-up and care.
