Mathis

"Mathis"

*Mathis' country is not currently open to adoptions*

Sharing the amazing "Mathis" for Arthrogryposis Awareness Day! Mathis is 11 years old, and living in Eastern Europe. In addition to arthrogryposis, Mathis is also diagnosed with hydrocephalus, and thymic hypoplasia.

Arthrogryposis is a condition that mainly effects the joints. This causes the joints to be contracted, and mobility is limited. There is a wide range of how arthrogryposis affects individuals.

In Mathis' case, his AMC affects most of his joints. He is unable to walk and has limited mobility. He had surgery when he was younger.

Mathis is a sweet boy who likes music. He has waited in an orphanage since he was a tiny boy, and somehow still waits! He spends most of his days lying in a crib, or sitting in a special chair. He is neglected, and not getting the mental stimulation and therapies he so needs and deserves.

Mathis is currently unable to speak, though he does make some sounds. He gets frustrated that he is unable to move around and explore on his own.

Mathis has $1,494.63 in his personal grant with Reece's Rainbow towards his adoption!

Kids with arthrogryposis aren't scary, and Mathis sure isn't! He is a beautiful boy growing up in no place for a child. Mathis' country is currently closed to adoptions, but he needs out ASAP. He needs a family committed to giving him the love and medical care he so deserves. Do you have room in your heart and home for Mathis?
