"Josiah"

Meet adorable little "Josiah"! Josiah is 4 years old and living in Eastern Europe. In addition to Dandy Walker Syndrome, Josiah is also diagnosed with Down Syndrome.

Josiah has big brown eyes and a sweet demeanor. He LOVES to be cuddled and loved on! Josiah's caregivers say that he just loves attention and interacting with other children. His favorite toys are those with music.

Dandy Walker Syndrome is a rare condition that occurs before birth in which the cerebellum does not develop normally. The cerebellum is the part of the brain that controls movement and balance. Individuals with DWS may have delayed crawling and walking, stiff muscles, seizures, or vision issues. There are two types of DWS, Malformation and Variant. The Malformation type is typically the most severe, and most babies will have hydrocephalus and require surgeries. While Variant is less severe, both types will require intense lifelong physical therapy.

No additional information is provided regarding Josiah's diagnosis of Dandy Walker Syndrome, but an agency can give more info.

Could you be the family that sweet "Josiah" is desperately waiting for? Early intervention is still possible for him to be able to reach his full potential and makes huge strides! Please don't let Josiah continue to sit in an orphanage. Click the link to inquire!
