"Teddy"

Meet handsome little "Teddy"! Teddy is 9 years old and living in Eastern Europe. In addition to a congenital heart defect, Teddy is also diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a developmental delay, and autism.

Teddy likes to play with musical toys and will get excited when they make noise, and watching TV. He enjoys listening to music, and his favorite foods are bananas, biscuits with milk, and homemade soups!

Teddy is able to walk independently, and can climb in and out of bed on his own. As of July 2019, Teddy was living in a foster home and would cry when his foster mother left. He is fed with a spoon by his foster mother, and as of 2019 had just begun eating solid food.

No information is given about Teddy's CHD other than he is officially diagnosed with an atrial septal defect, and a ventricular septal defect. An agency can give more info on Teddy's CHD and how it impacts him.

Teddy has $50 in his personal grant with Reece's Rainbow, as well as $0 in his personal grant with Nightlight Christian Adoptions! Teddy also has a $2,500 grant with Wasatch Adoptions!

UPDATE OCTOBER 2023

Teddy is now listed as "Dylan" with Alliance for Children! His update reads: Teddy is an 8-year-old boy who was abandoned at the hospital and placed in a baby home in Eastern Europe. He has been with a foster family since he was 6 months old. Teddy has been experiencing delays in his neuro-psychological development. Teddy is a calm and pleasant child and well-attached to his caregivers. He responds well to them. He expresses his joy by erratically clapping his hands and making noises. When he is very close to his caregiver, like when she lifts him up to her face, he laughs and slaps her with his hands to express his joy in order to study her face. Teddy began to walk at the age of 1 year and 5 months. He is currently walking, running and climbing stairs by himself. He is showing progress in his development. He looks at the person who is talking to him, understands what he is told and carries out simple instructions. He is looking for a family who can love him and continue to help him progress.
