MAY IS WILLIAM'S SYNDROME AWARENESS MONTH

Listed April 2020

"Morris"

Introducing handsome "Morris" aka "Lucio"! Morris is 10 years old and living in South America. He is diagnosed with a developmental delay. His facial features indicate he may possibly have William's Syndrome, but he does not have an official diagnosis.

Morris is described as a loving and affectionate boy. He enjoys be read to. He likes to play with blocks, balls, musical toys, and bubbles. He's always ready for a dance party! Morris is an easygoing kid and not picky. He likes to play outside, and putting together large puzzles. He loves hugs and affection too! Lucio is also a big fan of musical instruments, in particularly drums, tambourines, and maracas.

Morris is willing to participate in group activities, but is also content playing by himself. He is good at following the rules and instructions and has good social interactions with peers. As of 2022, Morris is nonverbal but communicates with his eyes.

As of 2020, Morris was receiving special education services. It was recommended that he continue these services, especially in his psychomotor development. Morris has improved in all developmental areas since starting special education!

Morris does not have an official diagnosis of William's Syndrome but does have developmental delays and facial features associated with the condition. Genetic testing is required for an official diagnosis.

Morris is listed as "Lucio" with Madison Adoption Associates, where he has a $500 grant towards his adoption! He is also eligible for a grant of up to $5,000 with RODS Heroes!

Sweet "Morris" has been waiting YEARS for his forever family. He is so smart and has so much potential, and could thrive with the right resources. I pray this sweet and loving boy doesn't have to wait much longer!
