Meet adorable little "Archer"! Archer is 6 years old, and living in South America. In addition to a hearing impairment, Archer is also diagnosed with a developmental delay, congenital heart defect (ventricular septal defect), and liver disease.
Archer is described as a fun loving boy. He loves to play with balls and watching TV. He likes to explore, going outside, and tickles and snuggles! He LOVES Mickey Mouse!
There is no information in his bio regarding his hearing impairment but an agency can give more info.
Archer is currently nonverbal but uses sounds and gestures to communicate. He is working on potty training. He is very intelligent and capable.
Archer was hosted in the US during the summer of 2022. His host family said "The affection in his hugs and the smile in his heart capture the love of everyone Archer meets! This precious child spent just 2 short weeks with us, but we made every minute count; and now we spend time apart praying for God to send his family! Upon his arrival here, the pure joy exuding through little Archer's smile while just taking it all in... the car ride, the balloons, the toys, and of course his very own Mickey Mouse doll, was breathtaking! He is so grateful to have love and laughter around him, a toy or two, and kids to teach him all the things! He didn't express himself in words just yet, but he gets his needs and wants met very efficiently with sounds and gestures! By the end of his time with us, he was starting to put beginning sounds to words to match his gestures! There is no doubt in our minds (or our therapist's) that he will progress to words & sentences very quickly with therapy and schooling, exposure, etc. He's so young, plenty of time to catch up! The family waiting for Archer is in for a beautiful blessing. He is such an inquisitive child, yearning to learn and have brothers/sisters to play with, plus enjoys plenty of snuggles with story time! An adorable, healthy boy who thrives in family life, respects guidance when given limits, and with intense speech therapy, he will absolutely soar! We would love to speak directly with interested families, plenty more inside info to share on sweet Archer and his love of Mickey Mouse!"
