Sharing some amazing kids with cleft palate’s this week! Meet “Donte”!
“Donte”, aka “Jason”, is 8 years old, and living in South America. He is diagnosed with a cleft palate.
Donte has been through so much in his 8 short years, and needs a mama to call his own.
Donte has had several surgeries to his cleft lip and palate to correct it. He does have a speech delay, but he has a team of therapists, surgeons, and physicians that meet regularly to determine his best care. He should continue to be followed by surgeons after adoption.
Donte is a cheerful and happy child. He is super sweet and friendly, and loves helping others. Because of his speech delay and physical differences, Donte struggles to make friends and connecting with peers. He often feels left out in school because the other children don’t understand him. Donte is very active, and loves going for walks and swimming. When he grows up, he wants to be a FIREFIGHTER! Donte can certainly achieve that goal while being surrounded by love and support!
There is currently a $5,000 subsidy towards Donte’s adoption with Wide Horizons for Children!
Kiddos with cleft’s are not scary, and Donte CERTAINLY isn’t! He is a typical 8 year old just waiting for his forever home.
Donte is desperately needing that mama to help him gain confidence and make friends. He needs a family. Are you that family?
