Listed November 2021

"Deacon"

Meet sweet “Deacon”! Deacon is 7 years old and living in Latin America. In addition to scoliosis, Deacon is also diagnosed with an orthopedic syndrome, hearing impairment, club foot, spina bifida, and possible Jarcho Levin Syndrome.

Deacon has been found to have dorsolumbar scoliosis, which means that his curve in the spine occurs at the back surface. No other information is provided on his scoliosis.

Deacon is a true light! He loves hugs and kisses, and is often smiling! Deacon loves music, balls, cars, and blocks. He is a very smart, friendly, and loving boy!

Deacon has spent his entire life in an orphanage. He desperately needs a mama to show him that unconditional love he so deserves and needs. Deacon received casting for his club feet, then had a tenotomy. However, he needed casting again in 2020, and wears AFO’s. Deacon can kick balls, and climb stairs with help. He can hold a glass, and use a spoon to eat. While he has seen many specialists, none can give a specific diagnosis yet to his orthopedic needs. Deacon is not able to get the quality medical care and services for his disability, and really needs to be adopted so that his needs can be met and he can meet his fullest potential!

My heart hurts for the little boy who just needs a family of his own. Deacon is still so young, there’s still time to bring him home!
